Many rescue dogs make great pets
We all make the decision to acquire a dog with the best of intentions. Life, however, doesn’t always proceed as planned, and sometimes the dog we thought would be with us forever needs a new home. Rehoming a Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier (“Wheaten”) is a way of offering that dog a second chance to live in a loving home
For more information, please see the Wheaten Rescue page on this site. To be able to receive a Rescue Wheaten, you first MUST apply. Click Here for what to do next!
This post will highlight current rescue dogs available and success stories of their placement.

Is Dublin still available if not are there any other rescue dogs available?
Hi Bev, were you able to answer some of the posts?
I am interested in adopting a rescue Wheaton Terrier. Where may I find available dogs. I currently have a small springer who needs a companion and our family wants another member.
Thanks
It is always nice to tell a happy rescue story, and this is a special one thanks to Bonney Snyder who skillfully handled it.

Sweet Teddy-Tucker appeared in a shelter with an eye infection which was so bad that it necessitated removal of the eye . Once this was handled by outstanding vets, he was placed in a wonderful foster home where he got all the care he needed which included frequent cleaning of that area, giving antibiotics, and showing him attention and love. Meanwhile Bonney searched for and found new owners, and when Teddy-Tucker was ready he was brought to them. As you can see by his pictures, he has adjusted, and now has the good life he so deserves.
I currently have a seven year old soft coated Wheaton Terrier named Sunshine, whom my teenaged son and I adore. We have had her since she was a puppy. We believe she may have been a puppy mill puppy. We would like to get another of a similar age, potty trained and a good companion to Sunshine and a good addition to our home.
Please let me know. I believe I need an application.
Thank you ever so much,
Joan and James Kuba
SCWTCSC Rescue has a 1 1/2 year old neutered male Wheaten Terrier who needs a permanet home. Dublin is presently being boarded at Bergit and Hans’ Bonney Briar Kennels. He’s a happy, healthy, young dog who deserve to be in his forever home for the holidays.
