HOLIDAY GIFTS FOR THE COLONY DOG

The SCWTCSC helps sponsor one of the Colony Dogs at North Carolina State University. They are a mix of Wheatens and Wheagles (Wheaten and Beagle mixes) that are an important research arm into the cause of PLE/PLN that can so adversely affect Wheatens. They are on limited diets that make it impossible for them to have some of the toys and things our dogs may love. But here is their wish list for the upcoming holiday season:

Oatmeal shampoo

Oatmeal cream rinse

Brushes and combs

Toenail clippers

Size 7 blades for their Oyster clippers

Ear cleaning solution

Unflavored nylabones (any size)

Kongs (any size)

You can send any or all of the above to:

Don’t forget that all our local animal shelters can also use much needed supplies. If you have a crate you no longer need or use, this is a great way to help a dog in need. They can also use towels, sheets, toys, grooming supplies, and food.  If you have some spare time they often can use help bathing and walking dogs too.
