President’s Message

Miriam Kahan

In his book entitled What Dogs Teach Us...Life’s Lessons Learned from our Best Friends, author Dromgoole’s chapter on “interacting with others” has some quotes that I would like to share with you in this issue’s message from the president. Of course, his photos make the quotes even more meaningful, but here goes:

“Understanding that diversity in dogs, as well as people, makes life more interesting.”… Our members sure have different personalities, and we try to accept everyone for whom they are!

“Pulling together makes life more enjoyable.” ...Lend a hand to rescue or other club activities and things in our club.

“Faithfulness is a basic ingredient of a loving relationship.”...Have a happy Valentine’s Day and remember to hug your dog on the 14th and every day.

“At times, it is appropriate to bark.”...Come out to the March 4 herding event. It promises to be a fun day and yes, you may hear some barking!

“We have to trust other to survive.” Your dogs are ‘trusting’ us to take good care of them. Be sure to come to the eye clinic on February 20th and get your dog tested if age appropriate and in need of certification.
