In
order to speed the publication of the annual Yearbooks we are asking for
the photos, starting with 2005 and 2006 to be sent as soon as the Wheaten
has earned his/her title. All
win photos are to be sent to Beverly.
This includes confirmation as well as titling in obedience, agility
and tracking. Specialty win pictures must be of the actual win, and
can be sent as a group that includes BOB, BOW, BOS, etc.
Each
photo, CD, etc must have identifying information on the back.
This must include: Dog’s AKC name, call name, Name and address for return of
photo, and email is helpful. Other
information is not necessary as it will be on the data sheet. I will email when I have received the photo. Multiple
photos can come in one envelope, but each must be marked with its own
information. No email attachments of photos at this time.
The quality just doesn’t work….yet.
If
you already have sent your photo in, and then you get the Yearbook letter
and data sheet, you just proofread the information, make any corrections,
and mail the corrected data sheet in a regular envelope.
So much easier. If
there are no corrections, you can relax.
Jpg
format is OK. Write on the
back if it is not necessary to return it.
If a scanned hard copy of the photo is submitted, and doesn’t
need to be returned, please indicate it on the back of the photo. Scanned
photos should be at 300 dpi or higher on a high grade scanner. “Since
we print in black and white, lower grade color scans are too flat in
reproduction. A scan on
something like a Kodak machine at Kinko’s does very nicely.”
Scan must not be retouched, i.e. what the professional photographer
gave you (copyright restrictions). Hard
copies – the 8 x 10 are the easiest to work with. |
